Also! The issue over used games has ended, Xbox One will allow for use of, selling, and basically whatever you want to do with them.

The EU Court of Justice has issued a ruling that says people should legally be able to sell games they acquire digitally, such as through Valve Software's Steam distribution service. Prompted by a legal battle between Oracle and German company UsedSoft, who was selling "used" licenses of Oracle's software against Oracle's wishes, the case may not have originally been about games, but the ruling's language covers "computer program" in general.

The expectation is the case might go on for years and make it to the European Court again but i think this is a good case.

I personally dont like all those forms of DRM they try to push to us gamers. I wont be suprised if there will come a case against MS if the XBO gets launched and their DRM policy still stands.
The thing that makes it complicated is that they only offer their DRM system to the publishers, letting them decide to use it.

So, Microsoft announced that probailly u need to pay a fee for a license for a game whenever u buy it second-hand.
As it seems now, when u buy a new game it will come with a code or something so it locks to your account.
They are thinking about putting a system up for selling your games digitally and that way ppl that buy a secondhand game need to pay a fee to MS or something. Also a friend cannot borrow your game without paying a fee.

If i buy a second hand coffee machine or music cd, will i need to pay another fee for it before i can use this? No, so imo this is really bullshit.

If i buy a game/disc i am the owner of the disc and have the right to sell it.
The problem is, the way ms wants it isnt really allowed by law in Europe and i doubt they thought about it.

Also rumours say PS4 will have something simmilar, as EA dropped the future for their online-pass system.

Here's what I took away from the reveal

New controller with improved features
Kinect 2.0 (Requires to be connected for Xbox to function) but looks great and adds a lot more interactivity as far as media entertainment, nothing yet shown on games but will incorporate your controller.
NO ALWAYS ONLINE REQUIREMENT
300K Live servers
Of course released later this year
No price point discussed yet
Live TV will be offered
Snap feature that allows quick switching between gaming, tv, music, internet

For the games shown,
not much was really shown.
Forza 5 looked amazing
EA gave a great demo on whats coming up from them
Halo, no games were announced but Steven Spielberg will be directing a TV series based off of Halo

And of course: Call of Duty: Ghosts

Wow. Looks great. Story depicts a post event America that has left the country crippled and defenseless. You take control of a pieced together squad of soldiers called "ghosts" there is a new companion in the form of a german shepard that will increase character attachment and assist you throughout the game. The campaign is being directed to give players a sense of emotion and becoming attached to the characters. There are a lot of improvements to the game graphically. New mantle systems that create a fluid motion as you hit the ledge and vault over, a sliding mechanism that allows you to quickly shoot after diving. And character customization in multiplayer finally.

All in all, im pretty stoked about the new console.
