    Which is better for Minecraft?

OK, i'm currently using my laptop to play minecraft, it has a great graphics card, but playing maxes out my CPU to 100%

I play using a wireless connection, not sure if this affects it or not.

My question is - Whats best for playing it?

    1. My laptop on wireless connection

    2. My laptop on wired connection

    3. My old PC (shite graphics card) on wired connection

Because of lag? Like multiplayer lag or just general lag? Maxing out your CPU isn't that big of a deal, it does it for me too.

Hmmm...maybe its your video settings? Try putting your graphics as fast, particles as decreased, render distance tiny, and clouds off ^.^

Go to Cntrl+alt+del> start task manager > processes > right click javaw.exe > lower priority (around 70%) > Profit. Also, try closing other services in start task manager. And post your laptop specs pl0x?

Your better of playing on a wired connection with a good Graphics Card, but try closing other program's such as Skype or iTunes before you start minecraft. Also, put your render distance to Tiny
Nothing to see here, go away.

A good graphics card hardly effects Minecraft, as long as you have a 2.5GHz Dual Core (preferably 64-bit). Realy, It's your hard-drive read/write specs that mater, as the game is constantly writing to the disk. (Your Boot Disk, by default.)

Things that mater and in order:
    • CPU
    • HardDrive Read/Write
    • Memory Capacity (RAM)
    • Connection (Veries by Ping-to-Servers)
    • VideoCard

A 64-Bit OS is recommended for max settings, and a Wired Connection for stability.
For Wifi, it depends on if you are dropping connection allot, and what standard it's using (802.11a,b,g,n,ac). Typically, an after-market wifi radio is stronger and more reliable than the one built in.

Edit: For better-optimized minecraft in general, try installing the OptiFine Mod (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...and-much-more/)
