Thread: Charlie Platoon has become Recon Platoon

As the Battlefield 3 section prepares for the final prep work for getting Gamebattles up and running in an effort to solidify and set apart Gamebattles from the other Platoons I have chosen to change the name to Recon Platoon, Recon being the premiere and historic Special Forces unit for the United States Marine Corps.

In the near future I will be setting the Camo assignment for Recon, as well as seeking out personalized signatures for the site for Recon members (if you guys want them). Those of you currently on the roster, were hand chosen, and have earned the title of founder status for the unit.

In the next couple of days formal tryouts will be opened up pending a new recruitment push, and practice time will be stressed more heavily so Recon can be as prepared as possible for Gamebattles matches.

Thank you all for being as dedicated and hard working as you are. You all should be proud of the fact you will represent the clan as a whole for competitive play, as this you all have truly earned the title as FoD's Battlefield 3 Special operations team.

I leave you all with this, the creed of the United States Marine Corps Recon units:

Realizing it is my choice and my choice alone to be a Reconnaissance Marine, I accept all challenges involved with this profession. Forever shall I strive to maintain the tremendous reputation of those who went before me.

Never shall I forget the principles I accepted to become a Recon Marine. Honor, Perseverance, Spirit and Heart. A Recon Marine can speak without saying a word and achieve what others can only imagine.

Remember those words, as over the next couple of weeks all of you, and the new members brought in will be pushed to the gaming limit to ensure FoD is truly the best when it comes to Gamebattles play.

This is nothing but a facelift of Charlie, and hopefully will make it easier for a recruitment push. As for current members there are perks to being on the BF3 GB team and if they are not active and not practicing they will be cut.
