I hate to break it to you guys but . I disliked Fallout New Vegas . It didn't have any apocalyptic feeling to it not like how Fallout 3 did. Bethesda did a great job bringing the fallout series to a whole new level . But when Obsidian ( Fallout Franchise Company) decided to make the next game . All they added was a few tweaks to the perks and the system and the ability to create ammo and food , etc . The only thing that ever surprised me and gave me a little satisfaction is the hardcore mode . I know there's a hardcore mod for Fallout 3 on PC but my PC is too shitty to handle it .
The hardcore mode on Fallout New Vegas was 100% Legit . Meaning there would much less bugs than compared to the mod . But still Fallout New Vegas was a big disappointment for me . The story gave me a confusion . While on Fallout 3 . The story is straight forward along with a few side quests along the way .
Another thing is DLC's . Fallout New Vegas' DLC's were terrible . They felt like when you played it was like " Uhhhh , What the fuck is happening , . While On fallout 3 the dlc's were awesome . First was Operation Anchorage which was a great start , onto the Pitt , which had a sense of horror and putrid disgust in it , next was the relief of the continuation after the Final story quest " Take It Back" (You can't proceed and finish this quest since it's scripted for the game to just end unless you have Broken Steel. ) Then the 4th one was Point Lookout . This was my favorite out of the 5 Dlcs . Point Lookout had it's own urban map and textures and the feeling . I love the mix of Hill Billies and Voodoo . Also the environment , you can see how much smog and murk there is . The Swamps , the light houses , etc . Then the last one was Mothership Zeta . This was a very good dlc . But the bad thing was , when you finish the DLc . You can't kill anymore aliens . ( Maybe A few engineer aliens) It ends with just you and all the shit that you looted and makes the mothership your Home .
Fallout 3 overall was the best Fallout Game yet . In fact , Fallout New Vegas was just a spinoff game . And also , speaking of Skyrim , it had great potential but it didn't have the "WOW" factor in it.
My Final Verdict is Fallout 3 (My Own Opinion)
Also , this post is not meant to cause grief or meaning of trolling , or hating . I only posted this out of my own sources and opinions . Please do not be offended As I refuse to take sides in these kinds of posts just in case if there will be an arguement
